COTS

COTS (traducere din „Commercial Off the Shelf” - disponibil la vânzare) se referă la piesele pe care echipele le pot achiziționa fizic sau printr-un vânzător online.

Atenționare

FTC® teams are limited to one degree of freedom (with some exceptions) to COTS parts. Therefore, buying a drawer slide is an allowable part, as there is only one degree of freedom, but purchasing a multi-axis arm isn’t.

However, teams can buy individual parts and assemble them together into a mechanism that has more than one degree of freedom. This doesn’t apply to drivetrain kits.

Ambalarea

Ambalarea se referă la dimensiunile relative și locația componentelor pe robot. În general, vrei să schițezi (sau să ambalezi) componentele în cel mai eficient mod posibil din punct de vedere al spațiului.

Fișierul STEP

Un fișier STEP este un tip de fișier folosit pentru a stoca date 3D despre o piesă. Este recunoscut de diverse programe CAD precum SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.
